Well, here's how I do it.  I install the Conduit that allows a
syncronization with Microsoft Outlook.  Then I sync all of the Palm
contacts, tasks, notes and calendar entries to desktop outlook.

From that point, all you have to do is install Activesync and then
sync down everything in Outlook.

Hope this helps,
Brad

I think propably the thing you need most is contacts. I would suggest you
import them into yahoo mail, export it, and import them into Outlook.

I agree with the suggestion to first sync the Palm with Microsoft Outlook
using the "Mirror" software, then do an ActiveSync.  This will move your
Contacts, Calendar appointments, and Notes.

Hello Jan,

Chapura PocketMirror is included with the Palm Desktop organizer software so
that your HotSync operations can synchronize data between your Palm
Computing handheld and Microsoft Outlook.  I suggest you check in the
software CD that came with your Palm...

hello raj,
i checked all the manuals and cd's, but I'm afraid my palm III is too old to
be able to sync with outlook.
I'm gonna try the yahoo-option that's suggested before. I'll let you know if
it worked for me.
Thank yo so much this far.

Hi Jan,

I just found this in the FAQ of PocketMirror... thought you might find it
useful

http://chapura.custhelp.com/cgi-bin/chapura.cfg/php/enduser/std_adp.php?p_fa
qid=108

Use of PocketMirror is the best method to transfer your data from Palm to
Pocket PC.

Jan-

According to the following link, Chapura PocketMirror should have been
bundled with a Palm IIIc.  However, you may have a straight III instead.
And that may not have had PocketMirror on the installation disk.

               http://www.chapura.com/devices.php

According to the Chapura website, PocketMirror is purchaseable for $39.95

               http://www.chapura.com/products.php

I can't imagine that you would want to spend that kind of money for this
task.  My suggestion is to see if you could borrow someone's PocketMirror to
see if it will even work with your Palm III.

hi,
yes, I do have asimple III
:-(
BTW the yahoo option did work for my addressbook, so that part has been
solved. But the other problem, the meetings etc. isn't working 100% with the
yahoo option. If I import it, it seems I've done a lot of working in the
weekends, which isn't correct.
