Is this a variable setting?  If so, where can I find that setting?

TIA

Level, as in battery level, at which time the low battery alarm sounds,
a message appears, and the power indicator flashes.

Hello,

Your post has only been on the server 24 hours.  Sometimes it takes a while
to get answers so give it a little time.

My guess (read guess) is that you will need to get something like Spb Pocket
Plus or Tweaks2k2 that will allow you to remove the battery warning.  Given
that I'm not familar with the X3, I'm not sure if there is an included
option.

Battery warning adjustments *seem* to be PPC-specific.

My Tosh e750 had the ability to change the amt.
% remaining battery alarm, my hX 2755 does not.

You probably have a device in the "does not" category.
