Accessing a Server File Share with WM5

Hallo experts,

im trying in vain accessing a server file share in a Windows Server 2003 AD
domain with a WM5 device. Trying to connect by the device's file explorer
again and again the authorization screen prompts me to enter username and
password. Whereas the server's eventlog shows the device and the user as
connected.
Connecting to a share on a Windows XP client computer works without problems.

Thanks for helping

Axel,

You will need an application that will allow you to map to that network
drive.  Resco Explorer is one such application.  You can get more
information on it at http://www.resco.net.  This applicaiton allows you to
do mapping of drives but also has a registry editor, FTP client and is a
terrific File Explorer application.  You can read a review of it on my site
at http://www.clintonfitch.com/reviews/resco/explorer-2k5-522/default.asp.

Hi Clinton,

thanks for your reply.
But I was thinking connecting to an network share should also work with the
WM5 file explorer.
I can access these shares with the file explorer of my WM2003SE Device.
But I will try that Resco Tool.

Regards

Axel

Axel,

Hmmm... I don't think so but I don't have a WM5 device yet so I can't
verify.  Once I upgrade my x50v though I'll try it and will post the
results.
