I installed upgraded to office 2007 last night and upgraded to Vista
business today. My WM5 Pocket PC does not sync with with the old activesync
4.2 (obviously~ it doesn't exist). I did manage to set up the SMS link but
that does not really help me my calender and tasks. I must be getting old~
it took me 30 minutes just to figure out that outlook express doesn't exist
either. Maybe I am supposed to use the http community newsgroups. Hopefully
someone still uses these and can help me out. TIA

You need the windows mobile device centre for Vista

Thanks for the tip Beck but this is not beta~ these are the full releases.
I do not think the MVP's have a clue.
There are the Windows Mobility Center
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/features/details/mobility
center.mspx
Sync Center
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/features/details/synccent
er.mspx
and finally the Network and Sharing Center
http://www.microsoft.com/windows/products/windowsvista/features/details/networks
haringcenter.mspx
The DUPLICATE posting Milly Staples [MVP - Outlook] refers to is one that I
posted in the OneNote group on syncing it with WM5. The MVP there read my
note and told me that Outlook express is now Windows Mail. I'm scratching my
head now because no one can seem to give straight answers.
Thanks for trying though.

The link I gave you is the one you want. The mobility center is still in
beta and is for all versions of Vista. Download it and see. Install the
program and reboot, then plug in your device.

You are the MAN!
I went to the partner kickoff today for Vista and Office and talked with the
presenter and he said that it was already built into Vista. The mobility
beta download you said to get has the settings for OneNote mobile as well
that I have been trying to find.
They included a card for a free Mobility Resource Kit at
www.MSFTmobility.com and after reviewing it I still couldn't find the Vista
info I was looking for. It contains some good stuff though so go check it
out if you haven't already.
Thanks Beck, you are the MVP!

Well I am no MVP, far from it. Just going on my own experience with Vista.
My knowledge of all things mobile can be written on the back of a matchbox
:-)

Just another thing, Outlook Express in Vista is now called Windows Mail.
Looks similar but has better functions.
Download that program I gave you a link for, that is the new active sync for
Vista, however it does not sync with windows mail. Seeing as you installed
Office 2007, it will sync with the normal Outlook 2007.
