How do I force WM5 to use a particular wifi base station and ignore others?

I was connecting nicely from my Verizon XV6700 (WM5) to a Linksys wifi G
router in the house. Today, after running WiFiFoFum for the first time,
which nicely showed me some other base stations, I can't get the phone to
lock on to my linksys one and stay on it. I had its WPA password in there
and everything had been working, but now it says "Available" in the list of
the connections manager for my station, but it always picks one of the other
nearby ones for "Connected" even when I click connect on the right one. Any
ideas?? How do I force WM5 to pick a particular station and ignore the
others?

There's no way I'm aware of to set a particular search order- generally it
"prefers" the AP it was connected to last, if available.

Every now and then, my WM phone "forgets" how to connect to my home AP (I
have no idea why.)  Generally a soft-reset fixes it.

One trick is to set up those "other base stations" with a bogus wep code
so any connect attempts will fail.
