Hi, I got a big problem with my Activesync 4.5. When I connected my Atom
life (WM6) to my PC (Win 2000), the MS activesync keep "Looking for changes"
for a long time and then with a synchronization failed error (but no error
code reported). How can I fix this problem?

Thanks in advance!

Cheers,
Gavin

Gavin;

Uncheck all the boxes and synch one thing at a time...try checking the
boxes one at a time until the problem repeats, and then you'll have a better
idea of what the problem is.

Thanks Hertz,

I can't go to the option page now as it can't finish the synchorization
successfully. The "option" menu is always disabled :(

BTW, I had tried to delete the partnership and rebuilt it again and select
with no synchorize item. but the problem still exist.

Is there other method to made the MS Activesync synchorization in manual
mode? say by modifying the registry?

Thanks again!

Hi Gavin,

Would suggest you to check your firewall settings.  Refer

information.

Gavin,

I don't know if this will help, but the same thing happens to me, but only
occassionally.  When it does happen, I click on the close icon (upper right
corner in ActiveSync window) until the window disappears.  I then go down
the tray in the lower fight hand corner and double click on the ActiveSync
icon in the tray.  The window reappears, only now it says "Connecting", then
it goes to "Looking for Changes" and then "Synchronizing" and it syncs
successfully.

I don't know why this is happening, but it is the only workaround that I
have found for my problem.

DaShrink

I had the same issue, and because my PC is not that fast, the activesync
4.5 program was using all the cpu of my PC.
I therefore chose to lower the priority of the rapimgr process in the
list of process of the Ctrl-Alt-Suppr task manager and everything is OK
now...
Weird...

I have the same problem.  I connect to my work PC via Bluetooth and use
ActiveSync 4.5 to sync calendar and task items.  At home I just connect
with ActiveSync and Bluetooth but does not sync anything.

It worked well for a few weeks and then it stuck on "Looking for
changes" on the home PC followed by an error.  A couple of days later
it happened to the work PC.  Looked everywhere on the internet for a
fix with no luck.

Until today.  I stumbled on a link that said I should try removing the
SD card.

Just did that and sync with *no problem* on my home PC!.  After
successfully syncing the first time I put the SD card back in and
manually initiated synchronization on the PC.  It finished with no
error!

I'll try that Monday on the work PC.
