Hello,

I have a large set of PDF floor plans, that I update monthly from my PC to a
PocketPC.

When copying the PDF's, it seems to translate the PDF's for use with the PPC
version of Acrobat Reader.

The process takes hours, but before I buy a PCMCIA card adaptor,
I wanted to ask if they CAN be copied directly to an SD card,
or is there some true file conversion going on (above tagging)?

Are there utilities to convert PDF's on the PC to simplify copying over to a
PPC?

Regards,
David

No, text tagging (which I assume you don't need) is the only process so
you can copy them directly to the memory card.

PDF may not be the best option for these... for example, there are a
number of image viewers which may offer easier, faster viewing, zoom,
scrolling.

Recommend starting with a usb2 card reader... there are several that are
not much bigger than the card, cheaper and there will be no install
issues which pcmcia might inject... the only real advantage of a pcmcia
reader is that it does not protrude from the case.

If it's a recent laptop, take a quick look as most of the current
laptops now have sd slots.

hth,
Beverly Howard
