I know that it is possible to choose an expansion card when installing
programs to my PocketPC, but is it possible to transfer a program after it
has been installed?

Many programs you can simply move the directory to it's new location,
change the shortcut to point to it, and you're off.

Some programs will have problems with this if they have registry
entries and such, but even some of them can be dealt with by editing
those registry entries.

Best thing to do is to just try it.  You may get a bunch moved over,
and have to uninstall and reinstall a couple if you don't have a
registry editor handy, but that's easy enough to do.

Possible occasionally, but not normally, and not recommended. The install
process also sets up shortcuts and registry entries that point to where the
file and it's support files are located.  Those don't get changed when you
just move the program or the program folder.  Certainly you could go in and
edit those things, with the appropriate editors, but it is actually easier
to just uninstall and re-install to the new location.

I have had programs decide to go back where I had them last when I
re-installed them. In that case there is a remove from PPC and PC in the
Add/Remove section of ActiveSync.  Using that has generally fixed it.  I
guess the original install left info on the PC as to where I wanted it and
that had to go before it would change.

By 'transfer' you mean move it somewhere else? Probably not. Definitely not
if it has registry entries that refer to its present location.
