Most programs have the option to make it the default player. A program like MortPlayer, much better IMO than WinamPAQ, does the registry hack for you. http://www.sto-helit.de/modules/edito/content.php?id=7&sel_lang=english
If you don't like to try that out you can use PocketTweak http://tillanosoft.com/ce/ptweak.html to change the association. It's freeware BTW.
