Re: Please, recommend me a PocketPC with a good landscape orientation resolution for WEB browsing

Note also that VGA does not mean the PPC displays four times as much info as a QVGA one. The basic picture looks the same, but is significantly clearer. My VGA JasJar, shows essentially the same display as my non-VGA (QVGA), PDA-N, in most applications, including web browsers.
You have to hack virtually every VGA PPC into showing four times the info, that is 640x480 distinct pixels. Then though you get the tiny effect that Bev was talking about. Take your current QVGA PPC and hold it twice as far away as normal and you get the idea of the text size you will need to deal with.
Beyond that you will most definitely need to invest in some web browser other than PIE. It is optimized for sites that are optimized for PDAs. It is not ready to deal with sites that are expecting to be viewed by full PCs.

>Could you recommend me a couple of good VGA enabled PocketPC models? I would probably start looking at some websites that like to focus on VGA PPCs, such as:
http://www.vgapocketpc.com/
With that stated, if you ever decide that graphics being a priority is not such the rule I think that you also take into consideration some non-VGA units, if for no other reason than for comaprison. You might find that a lower priced unit (non-vga) still works for you needs, given other features that you might like.
Still, a VGA screen does like quite nice... But don't expect a VGA PPC screen to contain all the information that a PC screen does - it is simply too small to be effective, usually meaning that font sizes will need to be increased to be readable.

Dear friends:
I plan to go to the USA during the next months, and I want to buy there a PocketPC with a good landscape orientation resolution for WEB browsing.
The idea is to browse sites like CNN or BBC in landscape orientation, without the need to use the slide bars to read every line of information. Like a Nokia 770 but with the PocketPC Operating System. Keyboard is not necessary, but WiFi (and maybe Bluetooth) is.
Any recommendation?
Any hint?
Thanks Juan I. Cahis Santiago de Chile (South America) Note: Please forgive me for my bad English, I am trying to improve it!
