For ActiveSync 4.0, I cannot find a dialog box to set the "Sync Mode".
The Sync Modes in ActiveSync 3.7.1 are:
1) Continuously while the device is connected
2) Only upon connection

I have a new HX2415 and every now an then it won't power up without having
to reset the device. Is this a common problem? What causes it?

I imported some deadlines into Outlook 2003 (iCalendar file format).
This worked fine. Then I synchronised these deadlines with my Pocket PC
(Windows Mobile is running on it).

I organised my contact list in my outlook 2003 and wanted to sync them to my
PPC. Instead, when i put the PPC in the cradle, the syn deleted all my
contact records. Is there anyway I can recover them back? Thanks

I am trying to connect my PPC-6700 (Sprint) with my laptop.  I installed AS
4.0 on the lap top and it automatically finds the PPC-6700.  It just never
connects, it always "connecting".

I upgraded to WM 5 & AS 4. One one of my machines, AS just says "connecting"
and hangs. Already unchecked QoS and Deterministic network enhancer from
network connection.
Any sggestions?

I use a T-Mobile MDA Pro and Active Sync 4.0 on my notebook. I sync all
stuff directly with my exchange 2003 (sp2) Server. NOW I installed active
sync 4.0 on my business PC, too. Strange about that: Active Sync won´t let

While trying to upgrade from 3.7 to 3.8, the install routine fails. "Setup
could not copy the file C:\...\inf\wceusbsh.cat(copy error -1). Restart..."
I have restarted the computer. I have deleted the above file before running
setup but I cannot get past this error.

Hi all, I want to use Microsoft Briefcase on a Pocket PC (Windows Media 5 /
ActiveSync 4) to sync files to my Storage Card.  Is this known to work?  I
have it working fine to internal memory, but not Storage Card:
Regardless of Briefcase I am aware of and using the 'Files' folder ...

I'm aware that AS 4.x can't synchronize over the network.  Any other
limitations?  Any reason to stay with 3.x and/or any reason to upgrade
to 4.x for an existing device?

pc's, allen in een netwerk verbonden. Ik heb het geprobeerd met
"microsoft activesync" te downloaden, maar ik kan geen verbinding maken
tussen laptop en pc.

So now Exchange SP2 is out, when can the Messaging and Security Feature pack
for Windows Mobile 5.0 be expected?

I thought that SP2 was going to allow synchronization of tasks from the
server (like mail, contacts and calendar) ?
No new options on my activesync.
