Synchronisation problem with winCE 4.20 and winMobile 5.005 Jan 2006 08:22 GMT2
First some info:
WinXP sp2 laptop running Outlook 2002
Synchronizing the laptop with both a PPC running WinCE 4.20 and a smartphone
running Windows Mobile v5.0.

I have happily used my PPC for 18months with an XP pro PC at work & 98SE at
home, both running on active sync 3.7 from the disc bundled with the PPC.
Started the work pc without the cradle attached once, and ever since have had

I'm also getting the generic 85010014 error when I try to sync my O2 XDA
Exec (WM 5.0) with Exchange Server 2003.
I've got the correct certificate installed on the device but get the error
whether I'm syncing via my PC or GPRS or through my wireless router.

Sorry if this has been addressed before but...
I am using a Dell X50 wih Mobile 5.0 and ActiveSynch 4.1 (4.0 behaved the
same way) and when I connect to my work PC (via a Dell supplied USB cable),
ActiveSync establishes a connection automatically every couple of minutes or

I have Active Sync 4 on a new Iapq 2790 with WM5. All folders on my desktop
Outlook 2003 sync OK except contacts. My contacts are in the main contacts
folder (no subfolders), Acive Sync wouldn't give me any settings options for
contacts.

I have a Dell Axim X5 and a Desktop running AS 3.8.
I still don't grok this! At a basic level, I generally have no problem with
the World of Pocket PCs except for sometimes erratic connects. But when I
try to do something a little more advanced,  I seem to hit a wall... [sigh]

As above really.  3.8 was 10 times faster.  Why is this program considered
an improvement?  I'd understand if it performed better, but I've been
getting bugs with the Files tickbox disappearing so I can't sync files,
duplicate contacts created even when I tell it to overwrite ...

OK.  I used PPC2003 and PPC2003SE (O2 XDAIIs) with as3.8.  Although the
device was of poor quality, I had never have problem synching with my
Outlook via as3.8.....
Now with my new WM5 device (Dopod 818pro), I had to put up with all these

I just bought a new iMate JasJar (Mobile 2005 device) . i am unable to
synchronize with my Exchange Serve (2003 with the Mobile 2005 additions)
over SSL. I was able to synchronize with my iPaq 4700, after i disabled the
certificate check. i can't disable the certcheck on the4 ...

I understand ActiveSync does not support syncronisation with more than one
device at a time.  Two questions
1) Is support for syncronising with more than one device at a time a feature
that is likely to be added to the product

I have been using ActiveSync (Version 3.5) for almost two years with no
problems.
The last several days after a system restart, I have found that ActiveSync
will no longer start automatically when I plug the Samsung i700 into the

i have my dopod and activesync 4 works very nice until today suddenly I
can't sync it.
If I connect my dopod to the USB, activesync shows 'Connecting...' all
times.....

We have an HP laptop with LAN, 802.11b/g and Bluetooth,
running Windows XPPro + SP2.
We also have an I-Mate PDA2K Pocket PC, with 802.11g
and Bluetooth, running Windows Mobile Pocket PC Phone Edition.
