Hi, I finally installed XP SP2 on my Dell Laptop and my Ipaq would sync fine
with AS3.8 prior to the upgrade to SP2. Now almost every time I try to sync
the computer hangs/freezes. I have to force the computer off and then reboot.

I understand that Active Sync itself works using a TCP/IP connection.
Can anyone comment upon the how to make a simple socket connection
between a mobile device and desktop PC using active sync ? I am coding
in native C++

I got this new treo phone and cant get it to work with activesync 4.1.
ActiveSync can't connect to the Phone.

I am a long time Palm Pilot user who switched (last week) to my SPrint

Using WM5 with a dell axim I have set up active synch to synch with both my
home and work pc's.  It worked fine the first time with each pc.  Now it
will not make an active synch with either computer.  Active synch just sets
there trying to connect and will finally come up with a ...

Does anyone know how to set this up, and what exactly it does?  I'm assuming
it's pulls the address list from Exchange, but I connecting to a front end
server that doesn't house the OAB.

I keep getting this error message during the installation of Activesync 3.8
on my notebook:
