I have a new HP hx2795 Pocket PC and it worked fine with ActiveSync 4.0 that
came with it.  No problems with the cradle OR a 3rd party sync/charge USB
cable. But, when I upgraded to ActiveSync 4.1, I can no longer get connected
at all with the sync/charge cable and the cradle ...

I have a problem with ActiveSync crashing. when it loads it just comes up
with the error message:-
ActiveSync Connection Manager has encountered a problem and needs to close
Any suggestions

I have had much trouble setting up this seemingly simple scenario
(which is also desired by many in this group): using a movile 5.0
device with two computers (one at work,one at home). But I have not yet
succeeded.

With Activesync 4.1 installed, i can no longer edit *.tpl-files within
Frontpage. Once clicked to open, frontpage automatically converts the file
"rtf in html" and presents a modifid version of the original as "new
page1.htm".

I'm having trouble syncing my Dopod 838 with my home PC. It was working
before (got the problem with firewall resolved) but later on is not able to
get the IP. I believe it requires the network IP to communicate with
ActiveSync 4.1. I even disabled and re-install Active Sync 4.1 ...

I am hoping someone can help me.  I was having problems with my Dell axim 50
syncing to my Dell Dimension computer.  After uninstalling and reinstalling  
the activsync 3.7 from the original CD and still not being able to sync I
ordered an new cradle.  Well, it still isn't working ...

I just purchased the Treo 700 that uses the Verizon Network.  I had the Treo
650 and had no problems sync with my laptop.  I am running XP/Pro with all
the updates being current.  I have Norton Internet Security with Norton
Anti-Virus as well.  I have Microsoft Anti-Spyware ...

Following on from a couple of posts a long time ago regarding loss of

using dial-up via RAS on XP I have some information from Microsoft that I
was not aware of given to me by  an MCP;

I gave my old Ipaq 3700 to a friend. I installed Active sync 3.7. He is
running XP Pro.
I can't get it to connect?

My O2 Atom with WM5 OS can't sync with my AS4.1, I have installed the AS4.1
in Windows 2000 SP4, and connect my O2 Atom with USB cable. However, when it
establish the connection between the PC and O2, the ActiveSync shows the
"Retrieving Setting" long long time, and never end up.

Hardware:
IPAQ hx4700 and Mobile phone Orange SPV C600
O/S
Win XP home

On my smartphone if I go to activesync -> menu -> Configure server
The username and password are greyed-out and cannot be edited.
How can this be changed ?

I have AS4.1 and WM5
Desktop sync works fine as does server to Exchange
I can connect to exchange and desktop using USB connection
I can connect to Exchange when using GPRS

Could someone tell me if Activesync 4.1 is supported on devices running
PocketPC 2003 Premium?  I have looked all over the PocketPC website and
don't see that info.

after all the help I have received on this site and talking to Dell (again) I
don't believe I am having a syncing problem.  For some reason my Axim 50 and
dimension 4600 are not connecting.  With Dell tech support I did all there
troubleshooting and they said if I uninstalled 3.7 ...
