My Siemens PDA and it has been working fine.  But, all of the sudden it is

The pda is connecting through a wireless connection.

not the exchange server. ( that is the way he wants it)

At a friends place I loaded the battery.
At my home address it now shows the name of my friend (WM_Name_Friend)

I am using a Motorola Qphone (Activesync 4.1) to sync with Exchange server.

1.  Everytime I delete an email from the device, it also delete the email on
Exchange server in the next sync.  Is there anyway to disable that and

I am getting an error on my PDA that says:
Cannot start communications with the desktop computer.  Winsock services
could not start due to a critical error (ERROR 10054).
I have restarted the computer and installed the latest version of Activesync

Alright, this is driving me batty.  I've got ActiveSync set up on my PC
to sync with my Ipaq and it works just fine via Bluetooth.  However,

Working with ActiveSync 4.2 and having all sounds and notifications on my
hx4700 (WM5.0) enabled I noticed that ActiveSync synchronizes every five
minutes or so.

I have a Jornada 720 that I successfully sync to my laptop using Win XP Pro.
I'm using Ms Active sync 3.8. Now I purchased a Jornada 728 and I like to do
the same thing, sync it to my laptop, and eventually retire the 720 and only

Active Synch 4.2.0, Motorola Q. On the Active Synch Menu, Tools, Options,
WindowsPC, if you check the Outlook PC Email option and then go to E-Mail
Synch Settings, the Select Folders button is inactive.
Anyone know how to select the Email folders to synch?

Treo 700w (WM5) has suddenly decided instead of connecting to activesync, it
starts a new network connection.  I'm thinking this has something to do with
the latest round of updates but I'm not sure.  I've tried
uninstalling/reinstalling ActiveSync and upgrading to 4.2 but ...

After a brand new installation of WinXP Pro w. SP2, MS Office 2003 (full
installation) and Active Sync 4.2, I can´t find Word-document in:
Options->Rules->Conversion Properties->Desktop to device.
Excel & Access is there aswell as Pocket word and Pocket Excel.

We are looking into getting mobile devices for email, contacts etc and the
Motorola Q seems like a good one.
