My XDAII (PPC2003) hard reset, thankfully I had a backup from the month
before on the SD card which I restored using xBackup.
When I got back to my PC and used activesync, the month old backup must have
been considered the "gold copy".

can anyone tell me if it is possible and how to add a T9 foreign
language such as Italian or Portuguese to my Windows Mobile 5.0 phone?

Cingular 8125 + T60....  anyone?

major issues getting it to sync with my computer.
- I setup activsync on my computer and restart.
- after logging on, I connect my phone, which activates activesync both on

How to run MSI installer? I just bought new pocket PC when trying to run

I am trying to connect my PDA with Mobile 5.0 to PC through ActiveSync
4.2. But i face some connectiviy issues with it. After somewhile, the
PDA automatically gets disconnected. Also i am not able to deploy any
of my applications on this PDA through Visual Studio 2003 IDE.

                   I want to install the cab file manually to the device
from desktop without using VS2005.
                   I have a cab file in hand, i want to manually change the
registry entries and copy files if required

I have just downloaded ActiveSync 4.5 BETA 2 for connection with my Qtek9100
device (WM 5.0).
There is a check box with "Allow wireless connection on device when

Has anyone solved or submitted to MS a request to have Wildcard certs work on
PPC/WM for Active Sync?  Or any cert where the URL doesn't match the CN of
the cert?

I am about to buy a Blackberry Pearl.
My employer may not load the Blackberry software onto my PC.
My PC does however, currently run Windows Mobile and Activesyc, to
which I sychnronise my Pocket PC.

I have a Pocket Loox T830 WIndows Mobile 5 Smartphone and trying to install
active sync. The installation of 4.2 went OK, but when the PC is restarted
and the app is asking to connect the device, my computer suddenly reboots.
I tried it too with 4.5 Beta 2, but the PC still ...

Is it possible to sync with the newest active sync through my home wireless
network?  I don't want to plug my smartphone up to my computer to sync.  I
want it to sync whenever it is in wi-fi range of my home network.  Is this
possible?  If not, what options do I have?

I know this is possible with the BlackBerry and the BES server but
couldn't see (and maybe it isn't) possible with ActiveSync and
Exchange. Is there a way I can have, by user, ActiveSync not delete
email messages in Exchange when they are deleted from the PocketPC
