Handheld IPaq won't syncy with Vista although it recognizes it29 Mar 2007 21:56 GMT5
When I try to sync my Ipaq 1955, the vista recognizes the pc and I can look
at files etc but can not sync. Get message about not being able to connect to
network although I am the only one.
Tried all the suggestions about unloading, reloading, firewalls, etc. HP

Running ActiveSync 5.0 on T-Mobile Dash.
I'm changing exchange service providers so, in ActiveSync, I need to
configure the server to point to a different exchange server.
Steps to repro the problem:

My iPaq 1955 quit connecting via ActiveSync. It had done so flawlessly for
months, but one day it just spun for several minutes and failed to connect.

It was working for a while, then it stopped, so I uninstalled, reinstalled
and now it won't do anything.  Brings up the new partnership screen, when I

I installed ActiveSync 4.5.0 and set up a partnership on my computer.
After the initial synchronization I find psw files on my desktop
computer rather than doc (or rtf) files.
In the past I used ActiveSync 3.8 and could convert from psw to doc

After many attempts, I think I have, as per the instructions on the website,
installed the Free SSL Certificate for my small Exchange Server.

I have a PDA WIndows Mobile 2003 iPAC.
I was syncing between my work any home PC's.  All was working fine.
Suddenly it now prompts me to setup a new partnership each time I switch
form one PC to the other.  I tried deleleting bothe partnerships from the

I'm having problems syncing my Verizon xv6700 (WM5) with Windows Mobile
Device Center. I'm running Vista Ultimate x64. I downloaded the updated USB
driver from Microsoft. When I connect, I hear the USB recognition sound.
Then I hear another sound and WMDC starts the connection ...

running As 4.5, I get error 85010016 (proxy server).
Is there a setting somewhere that tells AS to bypass the proxy server? THis

I installed Active Sync 4.2 yesterday on my Windows XP machine and I am sure
it gave me Pocket Access support!!! I installed it today and it has no Pocket
Access... Am I seeing things? (I installed AS 3.8 in between)
