I have an IPAQ HW6955 running Windows Mobile 5 and Activesync 4.1.  Whenever
I put it into my USB cradle Activesync starts up.  This is fine.  What I
don't want is for it to automatically start synching. What I would like is a
process whereby the unit is recognized by Activesync ...

My new laptop has windows vista, not sure if this is related but
thought I'd throw that in.  I have not been able to sync my windows
mobile htc with my laptop and I have to do that so I can do a hard
restart on my phone as the internet and email doesn't work on it.

Hi I have active sync 4.2 and sync with a samsung blackjack.
For some reason some of the calendar items are not sycning from the
computer, so I want to override the handheld for one sync

I cannot connect my new iPAQ to another device without ActiveSync trying to
run on my iPAQ.  My old iPAQ, running Windows Mobile 4.x worked fine.  My new
iPAQ running Windows Mobile 5.x does not.
I use my iPAQ out in the field to connect to these data collection devices.

I'm using 4.5 and my Orange SPV M600 will sync with my PC using Bluetooth
and Infrared connections. But not USB. It used to work, but I deleted all the

I synchronize my PPC6700 Pocket PC with ActiveSync on both my home PC and
work pc, however in my synchronization settings I only have 2 options for "if
there is a conflict"
1.  Replace item on device

I try to sync my new WM6 device with the PCs at work (XP, AS 4.5) and
home (Vista, WMDC 6.1).
What works without problem with my old WM2003SE device is now a
problem for the new WM6.

Apparently AS won't sync multiple devices simultaneously (I'm not
talking about multiple partnerships).
What is the purpose of such a limitation?  Completely brain dead in my
opinion.

When I try to syncronize my PDA I get an error that says "AciveSync
encountered a problem with the desktop."

Can I use ActiveSync to access an exchange server while out of the office?

After I update Activesync to 4.5 from 4.2, then the
INBOX sudden missing on ActiveSync screen and Option, but Calender, Contact,
Tasks, Notes are still exsiting on ActiveSync screen and Option. I do not

I have a Compaq iPaq with ActiveSync 4.5. The system creates a partnership
but the Inbox is not an option in ActiveSync, it is not even displayed. I've
