I have recently upgraded my computer to Vista Ultimate which I know comes with Windows Mobile Device Centre (WMDC). The problem I have is that when I connect my device I get a pop up message saying 'ActiveSync 4.5 cannot be installed on Vista' every time.

I am running Vista (SP1) and WMDC 6.1 and syncing to a Verizon XV6800 Pocket PC made by HTC. Whenever I connect (USB), either of these things happen: 1. No connection take place, although I hear the connect sound.

After a sync accident I had to wipe my device and start again. I've entered details of the exchange server in activesync on my mobile device, and it sync's fine for everything except the email inbox! All of the email subfolders are there and correct, contacts, calendar

How can you have version 4.x (4.5) of a product and it WIPES OUT ALL THE DATA that should be synching ?!?!?!?!? There should be an automatic backup of the data before doing something so stupid or better yet; just don't do it!

We have a boss/secretary scenario where the secretary adds appointments to the boss' calendar. The boss has a WM 6.0 PDA and syncs it remotely via Exchange ActiveSync. Does anyone know please how the boss can get a notification when a new appointment is added to her

I use the mobil Version of MS Office on my LG KS20 with WindowsMobil Professional 6 and ActiveSync 4.5 on WinXP. When I am back in my office and I plug my LG to my Computer the automatic sync starts and so far everything works fine.

I'm running Outlook 2002 and ActiveSync Ver 4.2.0. EVERYTHING syncs fine pretty much all the time, including my laptop calendar events TO my Treo calendar. The only thing that DOESNT SYNC is my Treo calendar events to my laptop

I have a Windows Mobile Palm Treo 700wx here and I'm a bit baffled. I've got it to sync with the Exchange server and it does the email and contacts just fine, but I am having problems with the calendar. I just wiped the Treo completely and I am still having this problem.

We have a PDA phone with ActiveSync that works great. But is it possible to keep any email message deletions on the PDA from being sent back to the Exchange Server? I know that kind of defeats the purpose of "synchronizing," but it would be handy to delete a message
