2 Partnerships on one computer10 Oct 2005 19:27 GMT2
My brother and his wife each have each have a phone/pocket pc device.
Can Activesync be used by both on one machine?  Is there way to label

wasn't a bad idea to ask the question here.  One problem I see is that

ActiveSync takes 9% CPU?10 Oct 2005 18:37 GMT14
Here, it seems that the process wcescomm.exe accounts for about 9% of
my CPU usage when I'm 'doing nothing' on my WinXP SP1 PC. That's
consistent over many observations. There are lots of other processes
running, but Task Manager shows zero for them in the CPU column. And

REPOST : Multiple user PDA LAN10 Oct 2005 15:33 GMT2
I have a requirement to be able to network 20 PDA's (Pocket PC's) in
order that they can communicate with a laptop, wirelessly.
What I need, is for the PDA users to be able to type some text into
Pocket Word, and save it as a document onto a laptop.

whole different story. Then the response time fluctuating like crazy.
The average is around 350 ms, but could go as high as 500 ms.

I'm currently using a Smartphone with Palm but I use constantly use Outlook
for everything at work so I'm thinking of switching to Pocket PC.  The main
reason would be integration of email with my PIM.  But before I get too deep

perform a soft reset. Is there an app or button/keypad combination that
can reboot WM2003SE.

ActiveSync 4.010 Oct 2005 01:27 GMT9
Is it time to upgrade to 4.0 yet? I know you can't sync over IP
anymore. No big deal. Have they fixed the issue where you have to
manually put in the appointment attendees that you picked up at the
office and are trying to sync at home?
Yahoo/AOL Instant Messenger for free for Pocket PC?09 Oct 2005 19:03 GMT3
All I've found are clients for $20, $30. Back in my Zaurus days Jabber
clients that did multiple services were abundant. I can't find one for
my Pocket PC that doesn't cost something. Does anyone know if they're
out there and if so where? I wouldn't even mind a free Yahoo ...
