Exchange versus POP319 Feb 2006 04:13 GMT1
What are the advantages, if any, of having a MS Exchange account on your
Pocket PC to get your email as opposed to having a POP3 account via your
ISP? Are there any?

What happened to direct cable connection in Windows XP?19 Feb 2006 04:06 GMT1
I have managed to connect my Jornada to this XP machine as a guest.  But in
order to do so I had to install Active Sync.  Imagine I want to connect my
PDA to another XP machine as a guest but that PC lacks Active Sync. Before
there was a app called Direct Cable connection (which ...
Which one of you wrote this about me on Wikepedia?19 Feb 2006 02:11 GMT18
"Wolf, on the other hand, was supposed to be a Brother, but he turned out a
Wolf in sheeps' clothing. Even people like Bible Bob, who has had his
run-ins with the square mob on free.christians for being Unitarian, had to
admit that Wolf's behaviour was below the pale."
Axim X50 email issue19 Feb 2006 01:49 GMT3
I have setup three email accounts on my Axim.
All are set to synchronise every minute.
I'm finding that email delivery is a bit haphazard, and that email can
arrive sometimes, and other times not.
Opinion on New Opera Browser?19 Feb 2006 00:01 GMT8
Has anyone tried the new Opera 8.5 browser for PPC?  It's supposed to
be fast and feature-rich.  However, a few posters have been unable
to unregister Opera as the default browser and return the default to
PIE.  Anyone have any first-hand comments about the value of this

type bids at my shop and transfer them to my pocket pc.  ...
itask for audiovox vx6600?18 Feb 2006 23:38 GMT2
I have an iPaq h4350.  It has an "itask" application that I can load on
a button, which lists all the open applications, so I can switch to an
app, or kill it.  My wife has an Audiovox vx6600 pda phone, and we were
noticing yesterday that she doesn't appear to have an app like that,

International text messaging delimma on Mobile 518 Feb 2006 19:49 GMT3
I receive text messages from friends in Thailand and when it arrives it says
it is from 6245.  The first line of the message gives the address that the
message is from.  The address is the 018932xxx@gsmadvance.com.  When I hit
reply it puts 6245 in the To: section.
Pocket Streets can't remeber details?18 Feb 2006 17:16 GMT4
Why is it whenever I open Pocket Streets 2006 on my iPaq rx1950, it has
forgotten where I was and what my zoom level was.  I want to just hook it up
to the GPS and go.  I don't want to set it to 150 yds zoom everytime. The
GPS takes me to where I am, but it originally opens up ...

Spelling on Usenet18 Feb 2006 15:11 GMT103
To some people spelling is a passion.  These types obsess over their perfect
spelling, and constantly are out to point out all the misspellings of
others.  Often these type overlook what a poster is saying in a post,
because they are too focused on spelling. Weatherly for example ...
