I am trying to access my college campus's wireless network, but I am unable to get an IP address. I know that the access points are made by Lucent, and I hear that this means that to use them you need to set the preamble (header?) to long.

Can anyone help? I want to stream media from my house PC to my Ipaq via 802.11b. I have shared the media folder from my desktop and I can see it from my Ipaq but I can't open up any files using windows media player. All I can do is copy and paste, then play locally.

Acutally the first question that I posted is a little incorrect. Once Wi-fi detects the network at campus till will ask me if I want to connect to: MY work or Internet. Which one should I chooose and why? Thanks!

In response to posts about Toshiba PPC e35x & Wifi cards. The Toshiba PPC e350 is not compatible with any SDIO Wifi cards. I've tried them all! It's missing software SDIO Now! from BSQUARE.
