I'm trying to Activesync over wi-fi and here is what is happening. I can connect to activesync on my laptop wirelessly but I show up as a guest and I can't get it to sync or show as the PPC like it does when cradled. Here are my specs:

Here is my situation I have a desktop which connected to internet though a wired LAN, i installed a 802.11b USB client in this desktop also, then i connect my built in wifi ipaq 4150 to this desktop with adhoc connection.

does anyone know why i can only sync over wifi if i have a static ip, but cannot once i choose dynamic ip. with the dhcp server running, i am able to get an ip, and even map to other machines on the network with my pda. its a hp 4155, my rounter is a netgear FM114P.

I haven't been able to get this to work. I was about to post this a few hours ago, but low and behold I was able to Activesync over Wi-Fi after who knows what I did (nothing fancy I promise you). I then shut down my laptop for a while. I restarted the laptop and guess what? Yup, ...
