Can anybody confirm that Pocket PC windows application connect to SQL Server directly? I tested, but after I deployed to my Pocket PC, it tells me the application requires a newer version of Microsoft .Net Compact Framework.

Coming from a PalmOS development background, I was hoping that connecting to the emulator would be a snap. Not so. I compiled the Hello World app and tried executing it, but alas it won't connect to the emulator (Pocket PC - SDK2003 emulator).

i recently downloaded a DLL called "InTheHand" which lets you read access databases, however when i try opening databases with 50records+, it seems to hang my ipaq and eevrything goes superslow! is there any MS way to reading access databases or is there no support for this yet?

I am having a problem with the <PRE> html tag in PPC2003. Microsoft say it is supported in Windows Mobile 2003. The formatting of the content is OK, the problem is it gets wrapped to fit screen. It works fine in PPC2002!

I´ve created a little vb.net program for my pocket pc, but when I stop the program, by tapping the X in the upper rigth corner, the program is still showing in the "Running program list" - why is that, and how do I close down the program properly?

Can I develop other network library beside .Net's System.Net.Socket or win32's winsock? like any pure cross platform c/c++ network library dealing with network protocols like tcpip and/or http etc.? i am not interested in java tho.
