I have doe this successfully with K-Jam & other GSM devices with the
use of  RIL API.
But, with CDMA devices it do not work.

I have an application that runs well on all PDAs that I tested, but there is
one that I having a weird problem: in the beginning of the application I open
files  (or create if do not exist) and some of these files are being deleted.
These deletions are not made by the application ...
