Why when I use PlaySound,sometimes the sound is correctly played and
sometimes the default sound is played (the calls were made with same
parameters) ?

Is there a API which I can call to determine whether the device is key lock
or not?

A few people had ask about how to keylock/unlock the device, I test this on

I could not find any virtual key codes form the number keys.  Are there any.  
How can I get number key presses?  By the way, I'm not checking for them in
wm_keydown, I'm testing for them in a worker thread.

Is possible to load every file(*.cab), in the windows 2002 ce emulator of
Visual Studio .net 2003, that I want?
If isn't possible, please tell me if there is a emulator that do it.

I have an aplication developped in evc++, that needs to create a file at the
first execution ,and read/rewrite it for tne next executions.
This is an INI file. I put it in the same directory as our application in
\Storage\Program FIles\AppName\.

I want to access to tasks and contacts databases and retrieve some
information, I know each database has an identifier called CEGUID and you can
reference them using their name but i do not know if a path is needed to
allocate the database.

How to get the directory's name of inbox(Ex:ActiveSync,SMS,MMS......),Use MAPI?

Is there anyway at all to block a press of the home key?  I am trying
to write a program that locks all but the T9 input while the app is
running.

 I have a method that will take lot of computation. I would like to know
what API can check the memory cost, or other related Data, for my time
consuming method.

I installed Smartphone 2003 SDK and suceeded to connect internet sites(such
as MSN Mobile, etc) using Smartphone 2003 emulator's Internet Explorer.
But, failed to sync inbox, calendar, contacts between emulator's ActiveSync
and my corporate Exchange Server.

Anybody know how to change/override the standard battery icon (with 4 bars)
on SmartPhone?
If I want to show 5 battery charge levels, is it possible to show 5 bars
representing charge levels ?

Has anyone successfully used EM_SETSYMBOLS?  I've tried it various
ways, but the app crashes once the control receives focus.

installed the latest Smartphone SDK and have installed eVC 4 with SP3.  When
I use the emulator, it says Bluetooth is not installed on the

Smartphone 2002 SDK but when I try to open or create a Visual Basic
project I get an error message saying "no CE platform SDKs available
for eMbedded (sic) Visual Basic. You must install at least one CE
