Don't Laugh -  I have an XDA II O2 phone and upgraded the ROM and extended
ROM to the new O2 ROM released in Germany!  Despite the installation program
and screenshots being in English the XDAII now runs in German and cannot be
altered into English!!!

For anyone interested -  I have just spoken to a head techie at O2 and the
new O2 PPC 2003 update ROM will be posted on the site on Monday next week
for definite.  Includes all the new updates and bluetooth fixes - I know
'cos I am running it in German at the mo.

I have from O2 the device XDA II. I want to uninstall the O2 UI called
V2R o2ActiveUI. When I try to uninstall it, I get the error, that the
program is used. How can I uninstall it?

Hey all,
Some real funny stuff goin' on here. I did the upgrade thing and after
really figuring out what I needed to do, it worked. Here are the problems

I added a midi file into the window\ring\ directory but
the midi file does not play...i get 3 short bleeps and
thats it...when i play the midi file using gsmidi player,
the midi file plays as normal using the timidity

I have an XDA2 and have 3 GPRS connections - Work VPN, the Internet and WAP.
Are there any programs out there that let you quickly and easily switch
between these, without having to go into the Advanced Settigns within
Connection Manager?

I have an Imate with 128Mb of RAM and whenever the application has lost focus by either clicking the smart minimise button or because another application is activated the garbage disposal is being run straight away

Are the aftermarket cases for the TMobile PPC Phone better than the case
that comes with the phone?  How?  Where can you buy them?

After I upgraded my t-mobil to 2003 and installed Voice Command, I am
getting lousy reception.  Nothing else has changed but I can be in the same
car, house, office...whatever as before and have maybe 1 little symbol for
reception whereas before I had 4.  Sometimes I just don't even ...

At about 7:30 pm last night a new upgrade appeared on T-Mobiles site.  I
haven't downloaded and installed it yet, however, I am assuming that this is
the long awaited 2003 upgrade.  I will have it downloaded in installed in

Has anybody figured out how to Dial-Up to a regular ISP and avoid using GPRS
with the XDA II / I-Mate?
My problem is that 3Mb costs $25 a month for my plan (in Canada) - and it
would be far more advantageous for me to dial-up to my regular ISP rather

Can anybody help by providing a link to a step by step guide. My XDA II
only has the setting for pay monthly & I want to use the pay & go settings.
My sim card is GPRS & MMS enabled as I use it in my Nokia 6600 without
any problems.
