My smartphone appears to keep it's host entry even when switched from USB to over-the-air synch (OS 2002). Is there any way to make phone automatically clear host entry without doing a soft reset of the device? In other words, when it's synching via internet using USB

What is the maximum number of contacts a SmartPhone device can practically store? Is there any physical limit? Can you store, say, 10.000 contacts? Is there a point where the number of contacts slows down the Contacts app so much it is no longer usable?
