I'm looking to replace my excellent c500 soon, hence my questions. I came across the above, but have not heard any mention of it in this group. Is the operating system on these the same as the c500, ie windows 2003 mobile second edition?

I'm new to PPCs and was astonished that on the first time I used the alarm on my XdaIIs it did not go off when I needed it (ie to wake me up!). Please don't tell me that the PPC has to be switched on for the alarm to work??? If so, that is a major step backwards from any other ...
