Can .exe files be installed directly to a PPC?  (I understand there are some
downloads which must go through ActiveSync as they affect the PC & the PPC,

For Windows Mobile 5 I downloaded a patch which included the ability to
accept appointment invitations directly into Outlook.  This feature does not

The default setting for unsigned application policy is set to 1 (allow
unsigned applications to run). Microsoft document suggests creating xml
provisioning files to set policy.
It seems a simpler step seems to be to include the following in platform.reg
