I have cloned the driver from : C:\WINCE600\PUBLIC\COMMON\OAK\DRIVERS\USB\CLASS\USBSER As far as I can tell this driver should implement virtual comports for USB devices.

I read some posts about a CDC driver for CE(6.0). The advice is to write a client driver. I expect such a driver to have been written for CE many times already. Who knows of one ? (commercially available ?)

The documentation for the April 2008 QFE set for CE 5.0 seems like its incomplete. It has only one component listed as fixed under 080430_KBKB951302 with no description. (Note the double KB's) Is there a more complete or better description file ?
