Is SystemIdleTimerReset called automatically when there is system activity, eg media player is playing a file. Is there a way to disable this call by setting some register like NoIdleTimerReset or something for eg to a backlight driver?

I have added a modem to my image (ExtModem reg. key) on COM2. If I try to configure a dialup connection, it seems configured correctly. But when I try to do the connection, it tell me the port is already in use. I'm sure that COM2 is free.

I'm writing a little application with MS VC++ 4.0 for PocketPC 2003. The PDA in question is an HP IPAQ 2200. I need to send a couple of character strings through the serial cable. I already have the code to do that, except I don't know how to test it.
