Whats wrong with the CE 5.0 version?25 Apr 2006 17:05 GMT2
Hello, I am currently investigating the possibilities of upgrading to windows
CE 5.0 at my company. Here is the issue:
The target system we are using is Geode GX1. When I have built and run a
Windows CE 4.2 image, everything works just fine. However, when I use windows

I am writing a device driver supporting Windows Mobile 5.0 device.
I have encountered a problem which I suspect originates from the OS,
however, I have not been able to find a way to receive any debug
messages from the WM5 kernel.

If I go to SETTINGS >SYTEM>MEMORY>Running Programs, I can view a list
of running applications on my Pocket PC.
I can then choose to Activate, or STOP such an application.
Is there a way to achieve this programatically.

We want to print on WinCE 5.0 with HP 1320 printer which has PCL version 6.
We previously tried HP 1020 and 1218 printers, and 1020 didn't print(because
it has no PCL support) and 1218 printed(it has PCL version 3).
But 1320 didn't print although it has PCL 6 support and it ...

According to the document CE 5.0 support AES, but I can not see this option
under Wireless Zero Config window. Does it requir a special driver? Or
anything missed in my OS build?

This is my second attempt at getting an SMB file service running on my
WinCE 4.2.  I know the server is loaded by device.exe.  But, when I
monitor the network traffic on the wired ethernet, all connection

loads and works correctly while KITL is enabled. The problem I now face
is that when KITL is disabled the driver does not load correctly. The
system hangs when it attempts to load the serial driver.
